Star Wars from Scratch #10

Welcome back to the continuation of piano lessons on John Williams' "Star Wars" title theme. Keeping in mind that this was originally written for a 100 piece orchestra, we're going to take a little liberty with the piano arrangement and edit out a few of the extra notes from the left hand - not a big deal, really, and it will still sound just fine. Notice how the patterns repeat themselves in each hand, making it easier to continue learning the next portion.

Star Wars from Scratch #11

Are you still with me? Good going! We're closing in on the home stretch of the opening fanfare from John Williams' "Star Wars" main title theme! Some more tiny edits and a challenging jump for the left hand to a new position, but nothing that a little practice and patience can't solve! Thanks for sticking with the lessons so far, and don't forget to have fun!

Star Wars from Scratch #12

At last! We come to the end of the opening fanfare from John Williams' "Star Wars" theme, which will segue into the main theme itself! Congratulations on getting through the most difficult portion of this arrangement that we'll be covering in these lessons! From here on out, it gets easier. We look at a cool double-thumb technique in this lesson and recognize a rhythm pattern we saw several lessons ago.
